  Prompt Response:  One tradition that is important to me is thatus as Muslims we go pray every Friday like around 12pm a prayer called " jummah". It is important because it helps us each week to stay connected to our brother and sisters.   Prompt Response:  They changed as I grew by them not being as meaningful and special as they were.When I was a kid life was less stressful and people made it special but now that I'm older there secret of holidays are ruined and everybody in their own lane because they have responsibilities.   Prompt Response:  Yes I have forgiven someone and restored a relation ship that was broken. It changed me by growing me and helping me understand that it's getting you nowhere holding it in. It shapes my understanding by not all things can be forgiven because some stuff are serious. Summary: In class we read the letters and finished working on our power point. Reflection: I learned to make my PowerPoint more visually entertaining and attracting.

Write about a song that brings back a specific memory.

  Prompt Response:  A song that bring back specific memories is lil Uzi vert erase your social. I say this because it gives me nostalgia of 2016 of an era to me where life seemed perfect. Summary: Today in class we read the book the color purple and started working on my research for the power point. Reflection: I learned how to pull interesting facts online that were in the story 

Write about the best gift you have received.

Prompt Response:  The best gift I think I have received was by my mother and that was my play station 5. Summary: Today in class we read the color purple and answered 6 questions that we had to bring back for homework Reflection:  I learned how to identify key elements in the story so I may understand the theme and general message of the letter.

When Celie says, “The God I been praying and writing to is a man. And act just like all the other mens I know,” she expresses disappointment, betrayal, and disillusionment. Discuss a moment in your own life when something you believed in turned out to be different than what you imagined. How did this realization shape your identity or worldview?

  Prompt Response:  A time were something I believed turned out different from what I imagined was Santa clause. This realization shaped my worldview by used to believing that there was somebody watching our actions and rewarding us based on that but yet to find out it's your family who is sneaking around. Summary: Today in class we read letters and worked on coming up with summaries for each letter and themes  Reflection: I learned how to find a theme and match it with a quote

  Prompt Response:  What I would think, say, do , or feel would be betrayal and anger. I would feel this because to think that something so important to me was hidden away from me is completely unbelievable. It would change my next actions by changing how I view them and also giving me hope. Summary: Today in class we had a substitute and we read the letters and had to come up with questions and answers for each letter. Reflection:  Today in class I learned how to take parts of the story and construct a question with an answer.  

In Letters 46–50, Celie begins to see Albert more clearly—his flaws, his regrets, and the ways he changes when he is no longer in complete control of her. Their relationship slowly shifts from fear and dominance to honesty and distance. Write about a relationship in your life that changed over time as you grew older or more aware. What made the dynamic shift, and how did your understanding of that person evolve?

  Prompt Response:   A relationship that changed as I grew older was the one with my father. When I was a little boy we would get into it a lot cause he was always on my tail but now that I grew up we understand each other better and knew that it was for the best Summary: Today in class we worked on a worksheet and had to summarizes each letter Reflection:  I learned the importance of entourage and how it can effect your life

DECEMBER 1st   Prompt Response:   Something MEANINGFUL and memorable I experienced over the break was spending time with my cousins. I say this because we are usually always busy or do our own thing so, I was thankful we were able to get together. Summary: Today In class we read the book the color purple and reflected on the letters  Reflection: I learned how to use my critical thinking skills to understand words that did not make sense.
