If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

  Prompt Response:  If I had to write a poem it would be about grwth. This implying that it would talk about my trials and tribulations through life that helped me become a better person. In a sense like a flower or a butterfly growing from it's cacoun. This fits me because I always been a type of person looking for growth and knowledge. This is what my poem would be about right now. Summary: Today in class we read an article and answered questions Reflection:  Today in class I learned how to get work done quickly and distribute it evenly 

When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

  Prompt Response:  Some strategies I use to change my mood is music and going out. Summary: Today in class we presented our powerpoint. Reflection:  I learned how to engage with the class through audience questions.

Write about something you’ve outgrown but still miss.

  Prompt Response:  Something I outgrown but still miss is my sense to trust people. Summary: Today in class we worked on our powerpoint Reflection:  I learned how to work with new people  

Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

  Prompt Response:  A time I did not feel like myself was when I was young and I kept moving around the world. I felt lost because it gave a feeling of having no stability and always having to meet new people, just to cut ends. Summary: Today in class we went over the MLK Principles close reading. Reflection:  I learned how to reflect on events from the past and compare the to stories 

Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

  Prompt Response:  A place where I feel the most a peace is besides any beach front with sand or rocks. I say this because growing up with my mother and little sister we would visit the beach often since we lived in France and we would have picnics there with friends and family. This was meaningful because we didn't have much but my mother found a way to make us happy. Summary: Today in class I read chapter 3 and answered questions about Physical vs Emotional Burdens. Reflection:  I learned how to pull quotes from the texts and classify them in two separate groups.

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

  Prompt Response:  A time I had to depend on someone was my cousin for rides. Thus made me feel useless because there was nothing in my power I could do to control ow I was going to get somewhere. Summary: We continued reading the story and talked about our hw Reflection:  I learned how to use context clues to understand words I don't know or parts of the story I am confused about.

In Wild, Cheryl Strayed writes about the difference between deciding to do something and actually committing to it: “There was the first, flip decision to do it, followed by the second, more serious decision to actually do it.” Reflect on a time in your own life when you made a quick or casual decision that later required a deeper commitment. Describe what changed between the first decision and the moment you realized you truly had to follow through. What fears, challenges, or responsibilities became real once the decision was no longer just an idea?

  Prompt Response:  A time I made a quick decision and later more committed was getting a job. What changed between the first time and the moment I realized I had to follow through was realization that nobody is going to do anything for you nor save you therefore you have to go out there and get it on your own. Summary: Today in class we continued reading the book and answered questions about themes. Reflection:  I learned how to take a quote and attach it to a theme.  

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

  Prompt Response:  A time I had to step out my comfort zone is when I started my first basketball and had to build the confidence to play in front of everybody. Summary: In class today we started on the prologue of the book Wild and answered 3 questions. Reflection:  I learned how to draw key points from the story and compare them to my own past to draw similarities. 

Describe a hike, long walk, or outdoor experience you have had and explain what it was like physically and mentally. If you have never been on a hike, describe a time when you were outside your comfort zone or had to rely on yourself in a challenging situation. Explain what you learned from the experience.

  Prompt Response:  A time I was on a hike was went I went to the blue ridge mountains on a cabin trip with friends and cousins. The more that I would go up the mountain the more I felt the strain in my legs and calves physically. Mentally It felt like an never ending mountain because once you think you got to the top, there is more. What I learned from this experience was that It was a mental battle that she just had to keep pushing yourself. Summary: In class we went over a Thru- Hiker and a book. Answered 5 questions about the article we read Reflection:  I learned how one's time in nature can influence them.

  Prompt Response:  I spent my break enjoying time with my family most of the time cousins. It was a wonderful break where me and my cousins spent a lot of time outside and going to events. It was going all well until we got into 2 car accidents within one week, one on Christmas and the other on New years. I would like to achieve my own car and living place. This is important to me because it would put me on the path to achieve my dreams. Summary: In class we discussed how the year was going to end off and worked on writable. Reflection:  I learned how to narrow down my goals step by step Four goals I want to achieve for 2026 is the first goal is to start my own business instead of working for somebody. This goal is important to me because I want to work for myself and have fun with the work I do, while achieving financial freedom. The steps I will take to achieve this goal are opening up a couple of credit card accounts and building my credit, so I may get a loan ...
