Summary: In class today we went over the story Girl by Jamaica Kincaid. We went over how in our daily lives we have expectations such as you see in the story , what the mother tells her daughter.

Reflection: Today I learned how different cultural backgrounds have different expectations for everybody for example one cultural might not be able to show their hair when in another your allowed. It impacted me by showing me how to compare these different cultural backgrounds to our self and our expectations showing how to reflect on these aspects.
