Write about a time when you realized that your perception of a particular food was based on a stereotype. Explain what the food was, what you originally believed about it, and where that belief came from. Then describe how your perspective changed after experiencing or learning more about the food. Be sure to include specific details about the moment your thinking shifted and what you learned from that experience.

Prompt Response: A time I realized my perception on a particular food was based on a stereotype was when I had ate tamalas, which I loved. I originally believed it was nasty and bland just off the looks but that can be deceiving. The moment that shifted my outlook on it was when I was at my mexican friends house and his parents offered and I couldn´t be rude.

Summary: Today in class we worked on our powerpoint to present.

Reflection: I learned how to reflect on my background and cultural to learn more about food that was passed down.
